Dearest Lakesiders,

Welcome to Tatler’s newest special issue! After the success of our first special issue of the year, we were motivated to go back to the drawing board for this new spring edition. As Lakeside grapples with both overt long-term changes and more subtle movements, Tatler staff members voted to center this special issue around the theme of “Lakeside in Motion.” From an examination of a controversial Middle School grading policy to Lakeside’s administrative transition, from politics at the school to the newly-constructed Vassar Center, the articles in this special issue represent a variety of perspectives, timelines, and topics relevant to the Lakeside community.

It has been my utmost pleasure to serve as your Managing Editor for the 2025-26 school year, and I sincerely hope you will enjoy reading my final Tatler special issue as much as I enjoyed producing it.

Contrary to her taste in watching action-packed Mission Impossible style movies, Managing Editor Sachi T. ’26 often enjoys reading feel-good books. She has been dancing for thirteen years, mostly in the style of Indian classical, and she’s been attending Lakeside since sixth grade. At the school, she plays the viola in orchestra and participates in Model UN events. At home, Sachi adores her golden retriever and cheers loudly during Sunday Night Football. She also likes to travel with her family, having been to fifteen different countries. One fun fact about Sachi is that she has a collection of shot glasses from every place she has visited!
