TATLER

About

Tatler, founded in 1934, is the student-written and student-edited newspaper of the Lakeside School in Seattle, Washington. Print editions are published monthly during the academic year. The mission of Tatler is to be a source of information for Lakeside students. Tatler aims to reach the wider community of Lakeside, including parents, teachers, and alumni, but will always prioritize material relevant to students. Tatler strives to frame worldwide issues in the context of Lakeside School, as well as report on the school’s activities, events, and issues. The paper is committed to publishing a range of voices and opinions. The content in the paper does not necessarily reflect the opinions and positions of the Lakeside School.

As an academic class, Tatler teaches students the skills necessary to create and publish a high-quality monthly newspaper. The class aims to instill journalistic integrity in all newspaper staff members and hold them to high standards of reporting, writing, and responsibility.
