On Monday, March 31st, Rohan Dhillon, as well as a few other hackers of the WikiLeaks subsidiary, LakesideLeaks, revealed a transaction and text message history between Lakeside’s Assistant Head of School Ryan Boccuzzi and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Dhillon was accidentally invited to a Signal group chat where he silently watched as a conversation appearing to be about a purchase of OpenAI by Lakeside School unfolded.
Ryan Boccuzzi: “Bro, can I cop openAI?”
Sam Altman: “Sure, if you have the money. You guys are broke. Your endowment is basically just pocket change. You need at least three hundred billion for me to even consider an offer.”
RB: “Oh… no. Money won’t be a problem anymore for us. Ever since we started selling our students’ future income, we have been raking in billions of dollars from investors trying to get rich off of Lakeside’s brightest. We lost a few hundred dollars making coffee free again, but I think we are ready to make an offer now.”
SA: “Actually… now that you bring this up. If you are offering up percentages of students’ future income, we would like to purchase 80% of Vishnu M. ’26’s future income for 49% of OpenAI stock.”
RB: “I don’t want 49%. I want 50%. I’m not doing this for the money. I need control.”
SA: “Why are you doing this?”
RB: “You shall see…”
The following day April 1st, 2025, 105 students received emails from Whitney Suttell and Ryan Boccuzzi, addressed to their parents and advisors. Shortly after those students were called into the principal office for questioning.
