Girls Swim & Dive
Allie B. ’26 (swimmer)
How long have you been swimming?
I started swimming on a club team when I was 7 years old and I joined LGSD my freshman year.
What is your favorite memory from Lakeside swim and dive?
My favorite memory is definitely Metros every year. The whole team swims in prelims, and then everyone — whether they qualified for finals or not — comes back to cheer on the second day. We all stand behind the lane of whoever is racing, yelling as loud as we can. I lose my voice every year, but it’s always worth it.
What goals do you have for this year’s season?
One of my goals this season is to get more people out to our meets to cheer on the team — it’s so fun when there’s more energy at our meets. And (of course it goes without saying), a 14th Metro win!

What is your favorite memory from Lakeside ultimate?
Freshman year taking a ferry to Bainbridge and winning on the last point to qualify for States. I remember the absolute thrill we had afterwards. It was so sick and became one of my favorite moments of freshman year.
What goals do you have for this year’s season?
Really trying to figure out how to help everyone. We don’t have any seniors, which means we’ll be able to keep a lot of our team chemistry going into next year, and I’m hoping that’ll help us really improve together.
