Running with Megan and Amanda
[EPISODE 1: Running with Megan and Amanda]
Unlike other sports, cross country has no half-time, time-outs, or substitutions. As Megan K. ’23 says, it’s the “purest form of competition.” Felicity W. ’26, freshman runner, interviews Lakeside cross country captains Megan and Amanda W. ’24 to discuss how racing pushes the runner to take more risks, be more resilient, and accept a position of discomfort in pursuing the unknowns. You will also hear about the thrill of running 8 miles at midnight as part of the 200-mile Ragnar relay, the triumphant feeling post-race, and the strong sense of belonging on the Lakeside cross country team. (run time 17:00 minutes)
